An SES machine is first closed normatively and qualitatively. Only then is it carried technically.

Machine Engineering is the professional path for domain, quality, process, systems, assurance, and technical roles. It orders the work so that no implementer has to fill missing rules, authority, scope, or consequences through code, defaults, or model behavior.

1 · ROLE ORDER

Who works first is constitutive.

Sovereign/Domain defines effect space, goals, authority, and normative boundaries. Quality/Process/Systems Engineering closes scope, rule space, state, failure, evidence, no-bypass, and revalidation. Domain Assurance reviews domain boundaries. Technical Carrier Engineering implements the already closed order.

2 · STARTING POINT

Begin with effect and authority – not architecture diagrams or code.

First determine: Which effect may validly arise in which concrete operator space? Who may set the rules? Which paths can influence the effect? Which C0 reference fits, or must a new one be formed?

3 · C0

Describe the machine architecture.

C0 defines the machine type: effect space, authority topology, rule/state/evidence/failure structure, scope grammar, revalidation, and non-claims. C0 is not software architecture and not productive operator PASS.

4 · C1

Close all concrete machine artifacts.

The operator instance must completely determine the modules, scope, authority, rules, effects, states, evidence, failure, and revalidation objects required for its concrete machine. A missing mandatory point remains OPEN or non-PASS.

5 · C2

Bind exactly one concrete machine.

C2 binds the closed C1 artifacts, identities, authorities, paths, and rule/state/evidence order into one no-bypass MachineID. Only now does the concrete bound machine identity exist.

6 · TECHNICAL CARRIER

Implement without normative invention.

Software, infrastructure, models, humans, or organizational carriers may carry the closed machine order. They may not interpret a missing rule, replace authority, add normative default logic, or create an unbound effect path.

7 · C3

Prove activation readiness of the whole instance.

C3 is not software acceptance testing. It must prove that the exact bound machine identity, including scope, authority, rules, states, evidence, failure, replay, no-bypass, and relevant carriers, is ready for activation.

8 · C4

Productively activate exactly the proven machine identity.

C4 is not a deployment flag. Only the C3-proven identity may be activated inside its claimed effect space.

9 · REVALIDATION

Change is a new validity question.

New effect-relevant paths, authority changes, rule changes, carrier changes, or new effect types may not silently continue under an old PASS. Affected claims are revalidated; depending on the change, a new state or machine identity results.

10 · STOP SIGNS

Technical work must not simply continue here.

Stop for a missing normative rule, unclear authority, unknown effect-relevant path, contradictory state/consequence definition, missing evidence, unbound third/admin/recovery path, C0 transfer assumption, or any attempt to let a model, provider, or programmer close the gap “sensibly”.
